Press Release

OTI is now a systems provider
for New York state real-time
energy management program

February 6, 2018

OTI, the master systems integrator who expanded operations to New York City in 2016, has just become a systems provider for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) Real-Time Energy Management (RTEM) program. Joining the list of leading contractors for energy management solutions, OTI is now able to offer clients access to supplemental funding for qualified building automation system projects.

“NYSERDA RTEM has been a goal since we arrived in Manhattan,” said Matt White, regional sales director with OTI. “It presents tremendous opportunity to everyone who might have project interests in New York City to find some valuable cost-sharing.”

The NYSERDA RTEM program includes a rigorous verification process to determine each vendor’s ability to install, integrate and operate new building automation systems with proven energy management and optimization capabilities. For building owners, working with NYSERDA can offer support for up to 30 percent of the cost for real time energy management projects. NYSERDA also manages a verification process for four years after install, to ensure that systems are still performing to current real-time energy management standards.

A NYSERDA approved RTEM system includes fault detection, fault diagnostics, predictive analytics and performance optimization. According to the program, real-time energy management projects can return 15-30 percent energy savings per year.

“We’ve seen success with our New York City building projects so far,” said White, “and we’re excited that this seal of approval from the state will help us offer better value and more energy-saving potential to our customers.”
